Following on from the record breaking regular split we are crowned the champions of NLC Division 2. NLC Division 2 Playoffs was full of amazing games and amazing team plays, as well as some moments of individual excellence. We continued to be dominant but the other teams also stepped up their game and this allowed for some great content to be made throughout all of the playoffs!

In our opening match of playoffs we faced 4th seed Karolinerna, or K5, who had looked very strong throughout the split. However, they came in with a sub mid laner and it seemed they were off-focus. This lead to us securing a strong and convincing 3-0, remaining undefeated and moving to a total of 21-0 in summer!

Following on from this, we take on the winner of LLS vs MRG, which to the surprise of many people was MRG. They came out looking like a whole new roster in their first playoffs match and so were coming into our game with a lot of momentum. MRG looked strong and got potential leads across the map in all games, but were unable to develop those into anything meaningful. In turn, allowing us to sweep them aside in another 3-0. Moving us to 24-0 in summer, locking us into the promotion tournament and we proceeded into the Grand finals of Div 2 still undefeated.

After 9 days of waiting, whilst the other finalist was decided, we were finally ready and raring to go. LLS (Lundqvist Lightside), who had been knocked down into the Lower bracket in the first round, had made the dream run and defeated MRG in the Lower bracket final, making them our opponents in the Grand Final!

During this time, the MVP of the split was announced, and it was none other than our own Jungler – Owlonsky. On top of this, VNC Kenal came 2nd in the vote and VNC Touch came 3rd, we are very proud of having our players take 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the MVP vote from all teams. Owlonsky is a young player and this was an amazing way to highlight the impact he has had on the team, he is very driven and is only starting to show the world what he can do!

Then the day came, finals, and we take on our long term rivals Lightside. During Spring they pipped us to the post and in summer we were able to take them down twice during the regular split. So it was bound to be a big match for both teams, and neither side failed to deliver a banger series. We looked strong in game 1 and 2, taking key wins but in game 3, with a strong draft and key macro plays Lightside were able to hand us our first loss of the split. We remained calm however and ended game 4 swiftly, claiming the title of Champions of Division 2 and finished our 2nd major objective.
